The Museum of the City of New York’s Saturday Academy is a free six-week program for students in grades 8 – 12 interested in American History or SAT preparation. There’s no homework or testing and all course materials are provided.
Fall 2012 courses meet on Saturdays October 27, November 3, 10, 17, December 1 and 8. Course offerings include:
- Arts Movements in New York: From World War II to the 1960s
- Futurama! America’s World’s Fairs and Envisioning the World of Tomorrow
- Voices of Resistance: Photography and Poetry of the Civil Rights Movement
- From Epidemics to Healthcare Reform: The History of American Medicine
- Bell Curves SAT Skills

The application deadline is Tuesday, October 9. Enrollment is first-come, first-served, so please apply early since space is limited! Should you experience any trouble applying online, you may email Saturday.Academy@mcny.org or call 917-492-3401 to request that an application be mailed to your home address for you to fill out and return to the Museum of the City of New York.
