Melissa presented a proclamation last week to the Elmendorf Reformed Church on the occasion of its 350th anniversary. The church first opened in East Harlem in the year 1660 and has went on to evolve and serve our current community.

Under the leadership of Dr. Reverend Patricia Singletary, the church has been working with the Harlem African Burial Ground Task Force, an effort coordinated with our office, that will seek to preserve this important history.
